such a needed campaign. i wish they’d have included native americans as well, though, as cultural appropriation of them in costumes is just as awfully common.
It’s that time of year again when these go around. And I will keep reblogging them. And if I see the joke ones I am likely to rip them apart with prejudice.
I will reblog this every year and unfollow anyone who posts joke fandom spinoffs of this very serious and important commentary.

What an amazing weekend in D.C.
On Friday went bar hopping on U Street. It’s really overwhelming trying to tug a group of like 15 people around. After getting nostalgic in a bar that was playing punk poppy songs from middle school years we found our way to a bar called Policy, which was beautiful and had chandeliers everywhere and it was pretty much a UCDC takeover on the dancefloor haha
Saturday toured the US Capitol. The inside is stunning! It reminded me of European museums…not that I’ve ever been but you get the picture.
At night went to this event called Art All Night DC, which was like an art walk spread throughout a few districts in the city. Live music, food trucks, and a SILENT DISCO, which was pretty fucking awesome to watch. Everybody puts on these headphones that light up and change colors. All the headphones are connected to the same live DJ spinning tunes. Essentially, everyone looks like they’re dancing in synch to the same song and you can’t hear it until you yourself put the headphones on.
Sunday we kayaked on the Potomac River overlooking Georgetown U. I’ve gone kayaking a bunch but it was my first time kayaking on a river. Gorgeous views to say the least. Ate cupcakes at Baked and Wired afterwards.
It’s so nice having weekends now that I’m not working retail for once…
Starting the mornin’ off sexy
